Remedy Description

"Get some zinc gluconate tablets, which you can find for around four or

five bucks in the vitamins section of most supermarkets. Grind two or three

of them into a fine powder, mix in just enough water to make a thick paste,

and apply it to the cold sore and surrounding area. I rub it in a bit. It

usually stings a little at first. If the paste on the cold sore starts to

dry out, I put on some more paste (there's usually some left.) After about

five minutes, I wipe off the excess. The next morning, the cold sore is

gone. This treatment has never failed for me."

Editor: I found that just eating a multipurpose vitamin will make them disappear
