Witch Hazel leaves: These antiseptic leaves are famous for treating

The leaves also an antiseptic and a mild diuretic.

Marshmallow root: This root heals and strengthens the lining of the

intestine, helping to soothe inflammation and heal sores.

Butternut bark: Butternut bark is a mild laxative that relieves hemorrhoid

pressure by softening stools.

settle the stomach.

About Hemorrhoids (or jump to About Phlebitis)

Hemorrhoids are swollen veins in the rectum or anus. As stools pass, the

vein walls stretch and become irritated. The irritated veins itch, hurt or

bleed. If the hemorrhoids pass to the outside during passage of a stool,

they are prolapsed.

Hemorrhoids can be internal or external. Internal hemorrhoids lie deeper

inside the rectum, where there are fewer nerves, so they often do not

hurt. Usually, bleeding is the only symptom of internal hemorrhoids.

External hemorrhoids are visible
