Asthma and the crushed ice cure

Remedy Description

A friend had asthma so severe that he was on a oxygen bottle. But, since

he was on welfare, the state can only afford so many bottles of oxygen.

It always seemed he was running out of oxygen. So he reasoned that there

was oxygen trapped in ice and if sucked on slurrpies (crushed ice sugar

drink) he could get the 0xygen he needed. After a month of sucking on

slurppies, he didn't need his oxygen bottle. And after three months

his ashtma was going.

hmm. I'm thinking the healing agent was no agent at all, but, rather. the

COLD. The tissues of the upper and lower respiritory systems swell with or due

to asthma. The ice might have nullified all this inflamation which inflamation

in turn usually exacerbates asthma etc etc. infinitum.

I'm not sure the gasses in ice are available to the eater in sufficient

quantities to have been the curative here. Thanks! Good story! M the R
