tinea versacolor is a discoloration of the skin caused by a bacteria growing
on the skin. The skin discoloration is slight, and my be lighter or darker than the skin, depending on the condition of the skin, and discoloration often varies from time to time. It is painless and harmless, but treatment is desired for cosmetic reasons. A solution of 50% propylene glycol and 50% water is available from a pharmacist. Apply this solution to the skin every day for 10 days. This will cure the tinea versacolor. |

The solution of propylene glycol and water should be 50%. Tinea versicolor seems to be the preferred spelling, rather than tinea versacolor. |
