The best cure for posion oak is to make yourself immune to it.
The Californina cosatl Chumash indians in california would eat the posion oak as part of their diet to build up a immunity to posion oak. I've heard stories of people adding one leaf of posion oak to tea and drinking the tea. Later increasing it a week later to two leaves.. and eventually getting it up to 3 leaves. I also heard stories of people becomming immune to posion oak from drinking goats milk as children. The goats eat the posion oak... |
