Remedy Description

Essiac tea is reported to be a remedy for cancer.

Source of remedy:

In the 1920's, Rene Caisse, got the remedy from a patient who had advance

breast cancer when she was in her 20's. The patient was cured and in her

80's when she met Rene. The patient told Rene than an indian

medicine man showed her the herbs and told her how to make the

healing tea. Hence, the herbs for the tea can be found in Canada and do not

need to be imported from another country for their "pure" qualities.

The source essiac tea in Rene Caisse's words:

The tea is composed of four herbs: Burdock root

(Arctium lappa), Sheep sorrel (Rumex acetosella), Slippery Elm bark (Ulmus

fulva) and Turkish rhubarb (Rheum palmatum) or Indian rhubarb (Rheum

officianale). Rene named her formula "Essiac" from the backward spelling of

her last name, Caisse.

Rene, a license nurse, treateed cancer patients with her Essiac remedy for 50

years. Her Rene M. Caisse Cancer Clinic functioned from 1935 until 1941.

On October 26 1977, Rene Caisse signed over her rights to the formula and name

Essiac to Resperin Corporation Limited of Ottawa, Ontario for $1.

Rene Caisse passed away at age 90 on December 26th, 1978. For more than fifty

years of her life she was convinced that her herbal "Essiac Tea" was a cancer

remedy.

Buying the herbs to make the tea

I spent $5 in my local health food store buying the ingredients to

make a pound of the tea. You don't have to import the ingredients

o get the "purest" forms. The tea came from a canadian medicne man who made

it from local herbs in canada. Some greedy companies sell 1.5 oz pre mixed herbs

for $30 or $320 for a pound. Or, you can buy pre-mixed herbs for $30 a pound

from:
