add acetone to your gas tank and get 268 mpg....
http://pesn.com/2005/03/17/6900069_Acetone/ http://www.chemicalforums.com/index.php?board=5;action=display;threadid=2517 The results of my expermienting with, acetone mixed with gasolene, in a 1987 ford 3/4 ton, 2 wheel drive, 4 speed trans., 360 fuel injected gas engine, pick up truck . 1. 2 ounces of acetone to 16 gallons of gas, produced 185 miles. 2. 4 ounces of acetone to 16 gallons of gas, produced 250 miles. 3. 5 ounces of acetone to 16 gallons of gas, produced 268 miles. I will continue with this experment. be aware that it is possible that acetone will attack rubber, and or plastic fuel lines and fittings. And that long term use is an unknown, rings, valves, aluminum heads, fuel pump, all may well be adversly affected. acetone is in nail polish remover. my latest expermient was with the mercedes benz diesel, adding 4 ounces of acetone to 20 gal of diesel got me 30.5 miles per gallon, with out the acetone the car gets 24.5 miles per gal. have not maintained the experiment with the gas pickup but am convienced that the 2 1/2 ounce per 10 gal will increase milage by 20, to 30 percent depending on the car, and driviing habits, and tuneups, tire presser etc. yes just pour it into the tank at fill up. I do not believe the acetone causes any parts damage and their are folks who have expermeinted with it for years who say the same thin |
