Immediately after being stung, pour liquid dishwashing detergent directly
on the affected area and scrub vigorously with your fingertips for a few minutes, then rinse off. The itching and pain will be greatly reduced or disappear altogether. We discovered this during our waterskiing adventures in waters near the Atlantic coast of the United States. I have no idea how effective this would be with jellyfish species found elsewhere. |
