as a lifeguard and competitive swimmer i have been dealing with swimmer's
ear for years, (the best way to distinguish between swimmer's ear and other ear infections is to pull on the ear lobes, if this causes pain then you've probably got swimmer's ear) What my dad always treated me with was a solution of 50% rubbing alcohol to 50% apple cider vinegar in the ear for a couple minutes then drain, two or three times a day until pain subsides. you can also use this as a preventative after you get out of the water, i swim every day and use it on myself and my kids. |
