"Get some zinc gluconate tablets, which you can find for around four or
five bucks in the vitamins section of most supermarkets. Grind two or three of them into a fine powder, mix in just enough water to make a thick paste, and apply it to the cold sore and surrounding area. I rub it in a bit. It usually stings a little at first. If the paste on the cold sore starts to dry out, I put on some more paste (there's usually some left.) After about five minutes, I wipe off the excess. The next morning, the cold sore is gone. This treatment has never failed for me." ----------------------------------------------- Editor: I found that just eating a multipurpose vitamin will make them disappear |
