Boil two cups of filtered water
Pour into a clean, sealable jar Add 1/2 teaspoon of Sea Salt Add a pinch of baking soda Mix well, let cool to around body temperature. Pour about an eighth of a cup into a smaller container. Using a bulb syringe, tilt your head back and gently fill your sinus cavities. You can also simply pour the solution into your hand and "snort" it. Drain and blow your nose. Repeat every four hours. Store the unused solution in the refrigerator. Discard after 24 hours. You don't want bacterial growth re-introduced into your sinuses. I have used this wash to prevent colds from taking hold, and to reduce their impact. |
